Milda Baginskaitė is a Lithuanian screenwriter and director based in Manchester, UK. Her films have received several awards for best directing, production design and editing. She has also directed a handful of award-winning music videos and micro shorts.
Milda is a Berlinale Talents director and writer (Berlinale Talents Profile) and a selected member of BAFTA Connect and Directors UK.
Milda has recently received funding from Kodansha (Japan) for her short film "Little Pains" which is to be release in summer 2025.
Currently, Milda's documentary "Beer" (2024) and her short fiction film "Lia IRL" is in the festival circuit.
Milda is an alumni of Screen Yorkshire's development program FLEX. The TV series she has developed during the program with a team has been optioned by a Warner Bros Discovery production company.
Milda also directs theatre. Her collaboration with writer and producer Chesca Cholewa and their hybrid theatre and film production "My Old Man" (Imagine If Theatre Company) has toured UK theatres in 2021.
Milda's experimental short film "The World Is Ours For The Taking", funded and supported by New Creatives North, BBC Arts and Arts Council England is available on BBC iPlayer.
At the moment, Milda is in development of her first feature film and writing drama series.
