Milda Baginskaitė is a Lithuanian writer and director based in Manchester, UK.
Milda's latest success story is being selected as a director for Screen Yorkshire's development program FLEX.
Milda has recently collaborated with writer and producer Chesca Cholewa and their hybrid theatre and film production "My Old Man" (Imagine If Theatre Company) has toured UK theatres in 2021.
Recently, Milda has completed an experimental short film "The World Is Ours For The Taking", funded and supported by New Creatives North, BBC Arts and Arts Council England. Her BFI funded short "True Colours" that she has directed collaborating with writer Suman Hanif (Beyond Productions Ltd) is currently in the festival circuit.
Milda's previous films "Teddy" (Girls in Film and Dr Martens film fund), "Pink Pool" (Pili Mili Films), "7 Planets" (funded by Other Brother Studios) and "Apples" (graduation film from the Northern Film School) have competed and been nominated for several awards in the international film festivals such as Short Shorts Film Festival and Asia, New York International Children's Film Festival, London SFF, Aesthetica SFF, Brest European SFF to name a few.
Milda has won Best Up And Coming Director Awards at Barcelona Short Film Festival in 2019. Also, a Post-Production Award at FEST Film Festival as well as a Special Mention and a prize at the Baltic Pitching Forum in 2018. She has also directed a handful of award-winning music videos and micro shorts.
At the moment, Milda is in development of her first feature film and writing drama series.
